About This Role
About Up For Grabs
Up For Grabs is a food surplus marketplace launching in Beirut. We connect consumers with F&B businesses selling unsold surplus food at a discount through surprise bags, helping businesses recover revenue from items that would otherwise go to waste.
We are assembling our launch team in Beirut and are looking for a Senior F&B Sales Representative to lead partner acquisition on the ground.
The Role
- This is a full-time, field-facing sales position focused on acquiring F&B business partners and bringing them onto the platform as active listings.
- You will be responsible for the full partner acquisition cycle: from identifying and approaching the right businesses, to presenting the platform, closing partnership agreements, and ensuring each new partner is set up, trained, and actively listing within their first week.
- You will coordinate directly our team to align on strategy, share field insights, and continuously refine the acquisition approach. Two structured check-ins per week will keep execution and strategy tightly connected.
This is a launch-phase role. You will be among the first people representing Up For Grabs to the market. The relationships you build and the reputation you establish in these early weeks will set the foundation for everything that follows.
Responsibilities
1- Partner Acquisition
- Co-work with the team to create a prioritized list of leads
- Identify and pursue additional high-potential prospects through professional networks, referrals, and market knowledge
- Conduct meetings with owners, managers, and decision-makers across various F&B establishments
- Deliver clear, professional presentations of the platform tailored to each business type and stakeholder
Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through signed partnership agreement
2- Onboarding and Activation
- Guide newly signed partners through account creation, platform setup, and publication of their first live listing
- Maintain regular follow-up with new partners during their first two weeks to support activation and retention
- Identify and resolve onboarding issues, escalating to the team where necessary
3- Reporting and Strategy Input
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all pipeline activity, including leads, meetings, objections, follow-ups, and outcomes
- Document field observations including common objections, business owner feedback, surplus patterns, and competitive dynamics
- Provide structured input on which business segments, outreach methods, and messaging approaches are performing best
- Contribute to the development of a scalable partner acquisition process
Qualifications
- Significant experience in B2B sales, business development, or partner acquisition within Lebanon's F&B or HORECA sector
- Strong familiarity with the Lebanese F&B landscape, including operational norms, stakeholder dynamics, and how business owners evaluate new partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to build trust with business owners and decision-makers and move conversations from interest to signed commitment
- Highly organized with strong pipeline management and follow-up habits
- Professional demeanor and communication style appropriate for representing a brand in its launch phase
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while remaining closely aligned with team strategy
- Willingness to test different approaches, report transparently on results, and adapt based on data
- Full-time availability for the duration of the engagement, with consistent daily activity expected
- Strong communication skills in both Arabic (essential for partner-facing interactions) and English (essential for internal reporting and documentation)
- Strong documentation and reporting habits, including the ability to take structured field notes, log meeting outcomes, and produce clear written reports and summaries of partner interactions and market observations
Preferred:
- Existing professional relationships across multiple F&B segments in Beirut
- Previous experience with marketplace, platform, or partnership-based sales models
- Familiarity with food surplus dynamics or sustainability-oriented business models
Engagement Details:
- Type: Full-time, fixed-term contractor engagement
- Estimated Duration of the contract: 6 weeks
- Location: Beirut, Lebanon (target areas to be agreed upon with the team)
Compensation:
- Base fee, paid in milestone installments tied to verified deliverables
- Revenue share of 10% of the Company's commission from each business you onboard, paid monthly
- Total compensation scales directly with the number and quality of partners you bring on. The more active businesses you onboard, and the more consistently they generate sales, the more you earn
