About This Role

Up for Grabs is a food surplus marketplace launching in Yerevan, connecting consumers with F&B businesses selling unsold surplus items at a discount through surprise bags. We are looking for an on-the-ground Sales Representative to onboard food and beverage businesses onto our platform and support pilot operations during our initial launch in Armenia.

About the Role

This is a hands-on independent contractor engagement supporting Up for Grabs during its initial launch in Yerevan. You will be responsible for completing the onboarding of interested food and beverage businesses, identifying and approaching additional potential partners, supporting businesses through their first live listings, and serving as the local point of contact during the pilot period.

Core Responsibilities

  • Complete the formal onboarding of businesses that have expressed interest, including collecting partner details, onboarding form data, and coordinating go-live steps
  • Confirm pickup windows, bag types, and initial pricing guidance with each business
  • Support each business through account setup, first bag template creation, and first live listing
  • Identify and approach additional food and beverage businesses in Yerevan, including cafes, bakeries, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, and catering businesses
  • Deliver the Up for Grabs pitch and follow up with interested businesses through the full onboarding process
  • Serve as the local point of contact for onboarded businesses during the pilot period
  • Follow up with partners during their first weeks to check listing activity, pickup windows, and bag quality
  • Send weekly activity recaps, track pipeline status, and share field feedback and market observations
  • Escalate technical issues, complaints, or policy questions to the Company within 24 hours

Requirements

  • Based in Yerevan, Armenia
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with in-person outreach and field work
  • Able to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Professional and honest representation of the company

Onboarding Target

Minimum of 6 successfully onboarded businesses during the engagement, with potential to onboard up to 12. A successful onboard means the business has completed the required onboarding steps, account setup, and first live listing preparation.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Independent contractor role
  • Location: On the ground in Yerevan, Armenia
  • Expenses: Transportation and operational expenses within Yerevan are included in the total fee

Compensation

  • Base fee of USD 100
  • USD 40 per successfully onboarded business
  • Paid at the end of the contract term after deliverables are submitted and verified
